Mosaic is looking for a  Community Relations Manager to join our team!

 

Are you a  master storyteller and connector ? This role is your opportunity to be the vibrant voice and face of Mosaic  in the community,  relentlessly pursuing opportunities that empower people .  You'll develop and execute a comprehensive community plan  to build external partnerships, mobilize passionate volunteers  , and secure the resources (including grants and gifts ) needed to provide people we support with a  meaningful life in a caring community .

What YOU’LL Do:

  • You'll be the ultimate  chief of buzz and brand —crafting the master plan to make sure everyone knows Mosaic's awesome story and building external friendships along the way .

  • Time to put on your  volunteer cape !  Your mission is to rally and manage a team of dedicated helpers to advance our mission .

  • Get ready to become a  fundraising rockstar —from identifying new donor prospects and nurturing those relationships to helping submit big grant applications and asking for those all-important gifts .

  • You'll also be our  social magnet , developing church relations to connect with the local faith community and keeping our agency's needs list current .

  • Finally, you're the go-to person for  creating cool stuff (like print and online materials) and organizing the essential data to support all our fundraising efforts

SCHEDULE:  Days, Salaried, hours will vary based on the needs of the agency event planning, travel will be required as needed - agency vehicle or mileage reimbursement.  Position will be Hybrid/Office - Norfolk.

What YOU’LL Need:

  • A resourceful and solution-oriented mindset 
  • Motivation to thrive in a dynamic and growing organization
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field or experience in lieu of education.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges and questions.
  • Previous experience with grant writing, volunteer management, and experience with nonprofit fundraising
