Volt is immediately hiring a Field Service Engineer for a local leading organization in Florence, KY .

Position Type: Full time (Permanent)

As a Field Service Engineer , you will

Provide technical/troubleshooting support to customers over the phone and inside their facilities to repair install, repair and replace manufacturing equipment.

Plastics Technology, Injection Molding equipment

In this position you will:

• Assure equipment performance to customer requirements (complete troubleshooting, repairs, installations)
• May conduct training and service programs in the operation and maintenance of product.
• Must be able to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and rectify all problem areas on production equipment and related systems.
• Manage special projects and follow-up with procedures and proper documentation.
• Maintain good customer relations and communications.
• Must be able to lead and train less experienced service personnel when assigned to similar projects.
• Must be able to maintain good customer relations and communications.

Working Hours: Monday through Friday, with paid overtime as necessary to complete required tasks

Travel: Travel is significant during the business day around 80%. Some out-of-the area and overnight travel is possible. You will be issued a company truck for the frequent travel to and from customers’ sites (home most nights).

Work Environment: This job will take you to customer’s sites, although some technical support may be provided from the home office. While performing the duties of this job, you will be around moving mechanical parts and forklifts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness required.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates Degree in Technical field and 3+ years of related experienced in the electrical field, preferably as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, or combination of education and experience.
• Experience with injection molding processes and equipment (plastics and foam)
• Thorough understanding of injection mold machinery processes, operations and installations.
• Strong Mechanical / Electrical aptitude
• Solid technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Pay Range is between $35/hr and $40/hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
