Volt is immediately hiring Finisher in Camden, NJ
As a Finisher you will:
- Responsible to coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Layout and position structural members on floor bed-plates, allowing for expansion and contraction of metals, and clamp components into position holding squareness and parallelism to close fractional tolerances.
- Measuring using a variety of accurate measuring instruments and good working skills with fractional and decimal dimensions is a daily requirement.
- Drill openings, carefully gring and polish parts, plug and patch defects and clean and dress welds as necessary.
- Use hand tools, scale, grinders, small sanders, tape measure, fixtures, rotary positioners.
- Select proper size and type of electrode or rod; set current density, and regulate gas pressure.
- Follow very complex welding prints and established procedures for all operations.
This is a 4 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity .
Shift: 1st shift 8 – 5:30/8 – 4:30 PM on Friday The Ideal Candidate will have: - High School Diploma and 8+ years’ experience.
- 2 year Associates with 4+ years’ experience.
- Use of hand tools, scale, grinders, small sanders, tape measure, fixtures, rotary positioners.
- 8 years appropriate finishing experience.
- Engaging/able to work closely with people.
- Attention to detail.
- Collaborative, works well with others.
- Independently motivated/task oriented.
Pay Range : $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
