Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight to and from vehicles and containers. You will also sort freight according to size and destination, read and decode freight coding, reconcile driver manifests, and label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight. Additionally, you will perform cleanup activities to ensure safety and cleanliness, and record damaged or misrouted freight.
Responsibilities
Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
Sort freight according to size and destination.
Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing.
Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.
Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.
Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.
Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in operating a forklift.
Experience in material handling and inventory management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift Operator certification.
Experience as an Equipment Operator.

This role is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift.
2nd Shift: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday - 3:30PM-2AM
3rd shift: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday 9PM-7:30AM

This is a Contract position based out of Independence, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $24.25/hr.
