Our client, a leader in the heavy equipment industry, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the operational team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: Mount Vernon, IL

Pay Range: $22 - $27 per hour

What's the Job?

• Perform tear-down, repair, and reassembly of mining and earth-moving equipment.
• Work on forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to ensure operational efficiency.
• Utilize knowledge of hydraulic systems and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Maintain and repair equipment to meet safety and performance standards.
• Potential for overtime, including Saturdays, to support project needs.

What's Needed?

• Experience working on mining and earth-moving equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and schematics.
• Must possess own hand tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to undergo a drug screen (does not test for THC; oral screen acceptable).
