Position: Research Analyst 1 Transfer Agent (Contract)/Investment Operations Specialist
Company: Fortune 500 Financial Services Firm
Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 (Hybrid onsite & remote)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $18$20 per hour (W2)
About the Role
We are seeking a Research Analyst to support the Transfer Agent Research team. This role focuses on daily financial operations, reconciliations, and account maintenance. Its a great opportunity for detail-oriented professionals with experience in financial services, research, or client account operations to gain exposure in investment services.
Key Responsibilities
Retrieve and reconcile daily external bank reports with internal records.
Process transactions including account openings, closures, and updates.
Monitor and reconcile same-day wire activity.
Research and resolve ledger discrepancies, escalating issues as needed.
Maintain account information in internal recordkeeping systems.
Support internal and external audit confirmation requests.
Assist with projects and initiatives to improve team efficiency.
Provide support to junior team members when needed.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
1+ year experience in financial operations, reconciliations, or research.
Prior experience in back-office operations or administrative support.
Familiarity with recordkeeping or transaction processing systems.
