Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position covering ICU, Emergency Department, and Med/Surg units, requiring a CO or compact license and previous travel experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Float Pool role in an acute care hospital environment
• Will cover ICU, Emergency Department, and MedSurg units as needed during each shift
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (18:00-06:00), every other weekend required
• Float to a sister facility located 15 minutes away may be needed
• Typical patient ratio is 1:2
• Uses MediTech Expanse charting system
• No on-call responsibilities
• May participate as part of the rapid response team
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
• Flexible scrub color; employee preference allowed
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 10 days off and no full calendar weeks approved

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CO or compact RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience including ICU, MS, and ED
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Proficiency in paracentesis, thoracentesis, intubation, central and art line placement, and ventilator management required
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
• Must provide two professional supervisor references from the past 18 months
