Welding QA Technician

We're looking for a Welding QA Technician to join our team and ensure quality from the inside out. What You'll Do as a Welding QA Technician:

• You'll play a vital role in the quality control process by performing physical weld tests, inspections, and audits to ensure welded components meet required standards.
• Physically tear down welded parts using chisels and hammers
• Measure spot welds and inspect GMAW and Laser welds
• Record test results and initiate documentation for audits and scrap
• Use ultrasonic non-destructive testing methods (training provided)
• Work closely with production to identify and quarantine non-conforming materials
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with Quality and Plant Management
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Work Experience

What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:

• 2+ years of inspection or production experience (physical weld teardown preferred)
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and measurement tools
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and use air-powered chisels
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills
• High school diploma or GED (technical degree preferred)
• Solid understanding of basic quality control and computer skills
• Must be a team player with a self-starter attitude
